In Penny Press players grow their circulation by publishing newspapers and strategically covering the most important news stories of the day. Progress along the circulation track reflects your paper’s rising influence, while endgame bonuses reward players who best dominate the five major news beats of the era including War Crime and Calamity New York City Politics and the Human Condition.

To publish a newspaper players assign their reporters to the hottest stories available. Once ready they roll the presses to claim stories where they hold the majority and arrange them on their front page player mat. Each press run scores based on the current value of the news beats and stories also feature star values that contribute to valuable endgame bonuses for each category.

The game concludes when a player reaches the required number of published newspapers depending on player count. The newspaper mogul who advances the farthest on the circulation track is crowned the winner.
