Trek 12: Himalaya Board Game

Trek 12 is an engaging roll and write strategy game inspired by alpine exploration, where every decision shapes your path to victory. Combining simple dice mechanics with thoughtful planning, players compete to build the most efficient routes and score the highest points across varied terrain.

Each game consists of 19 rolls of two six sided dice. One die has values from 1 to 6, and the other from 0 to 5. After each roll, players must combine the dice values to determine the number they will place on their sheet. You can add the values, subtract one from the other, multiply them, keep the higher value, or keep the lower value. Each of these options can only be used up to four times per game, adding an extra layer of strategy to every decision.

After placing your first number, every new number must be written in a space adjacent to one already filled. This creates a growing map where players aim to build long chains and develop high scoring areas. Along the way, players can also unlock bonus elements to increase their score and enhance their strategy.

At the end of the game, any numbers that do not belong to a chain or an area will result in minus points. Penalties also apply if you are forced to place a number greater than 12, making careful planning essential throughout the game.

Trek 12 includes three different sheet pads that introduce a narrative element and offer three progressive difficulty levels. This makes it suitable for both beginners and experienced players looking for a scalable and replayable strategy game experience.
