In Fuji Koro, players take on the role of samurai warriors tasked with retrieving valuable relics from three sacred temples hidden within Mount Fuji, a volcano on the brink of eruption. The temples are sinking into the lava, and players must navigate the treacherous cavern to gather as many relics, sacred scrolls, and monks as possible before it's too late.
This dungeon-crawler adventure game can be played in competitive or cooperative mode with 1-6 players. Players will gather resources, craft gear, and defeat fantastical dragons, working individually or together to overcome challenges. The game ends when one player reaches 30 victory points, triggering an 8-turn final countdown.
To win, players must score the most victory points by defeating dragons, exploring the cave, and bringing valuable items back to the Shōgun. The player with the most victory points at the end of the 8 turns will be declared the winner, having successfully retrieved the most precious relics and escaped the erupting volcano.
